The mission

jsonutils.app was built on a simple idea: working with JSON and XML should be instant, and you should never have to wonder where your data goes.

Most online tools upload your data to a server to process it. That means API keys, database exports, and customer records are silently transmitted to infrastructure you don't control. jsonutils.app does none of that. Every operation runs in JavaScript, in your browser tab, with zero network requests.

What it includes

29 tools across two formats: formatters, validators, minifiers, a tree viewer, an editor, diff tools, converters (JSON/CSV, JSON/YAML, JSON/XML, JSON to SQL), code generators for TypeScript, Zod, Python, Go, Rust, C#, Java and Kotlin, plus extras like a schema generator, anonymizer, mock data generator, JSONPath tester, XPath tester, and a format detector.

All tools are designed to handle real-world data — deeply nested objects, large arrays, edge cases — without slowing down.

Who it is for

  • Backend developers: debugging API responses, generating types from payloads, validating schemas.
  • Frontend developers: formatting config files, converting between formats, diffing JSON objects.
  • DevOps and data engineers: working with XML pipelines, validating XPath queries, converting formats.
  • Security-conscious teams: handling sensitive payloads that should never leave the local machine.

Privacy by design

There are no server-side operations on the data you process, and no analytics tool ever sees what you paste. You can open DevTools and confirm: tool operations produce zero network requests. Disconnect from the internet and every tool keeps working. See our Privacy Policy for the site's current stance on cookies and analytics.

This matters because developers routinely paste sensitive data into online tools without thinking: tokens, production records, personally identifiable information. jsonutils.app is built so that never becomes a risk.

The AltairWorks ecosystem

jsonutils.app is built by AltairWorks, a one-person independent studio based in France. The goal is a suite of fast, private, no-account developer tools that just work.

AltairWorks is the studio that publishes jsonutils.app and every other site listed below. Its hub lives at altairworks.org.

  • jsonutils.app : JSON and XML tools (this site)
  • converthor.app : Document, image, audio and video conversion
  • textutils.app : Text manipulation and encoding utilities
  • calchero.app : Calculators for math, finance and productivity
